Kenneth Griffin

History Teacher


Mr. Griffin graduated with an M.A. in Educational Leadership from the University of South Florida and a B.S. in History Education from Florida A&M University. A 17-year veteran educator, Mr. Griffin has a wealth of experience in teaching, advising, mentoring, and coaching students in both Secondary and Higher Education. His career started in Hillsborough County Public Schools where he taught for 10 years as a Social Studies and Reading teacher. Then he accepted a position at his alma mater the University of South Florida as an Academic Advisor and adjunct. He then relocated to Washington DC where he both taught and worked in administration for DC Public schools. After years in DC, he moved back to Tampa where he worked as a Student Success Coach and adjunct for Saint Leo University. With time away from secondary education Mr. Griffin realized where his true passion and purpose lied, in Secondary education. He joined the Academy Prep family in the summer of 2021 and is honored to serve students and our mission.
